October 5, 2020 —Raven Reads is proud to announce that it has been awarded “Business of the Year – one-to-two person enterprise” from the BC Achievement Foundation, Indigenous Business Awards (IBA). The IBA program was launched in 2008 to honour and celebrate business excellence and, in its 12th year, boasts over 200 remarkable businesses within its alumni. A total of eight Indigenous businesses, entrepreneurs, partnership entities and community-owned enterprises will be recognized from across the province of BC.
Founder & CEO, Nicole McLaren noted that this award "is a welcome achievement for the three years of hard work by our team at Raven Reads and we are humbled by the opportunity to be recognized amongst so many other incredible Indigenous businesses in BC."
The Indigenous Business Awards are usually celebrated one night a year in Vancouver, BC; however, due to Covid-19, this year's awards will be celebrated this November in a series of digital campaigns and films honouring their achievements.
